Find out about your child's character by the colors he/she uses 30 November 2009
Even in ancient times people believed that colors had their own symbolic significance. Nowadays, scientists have developed a method called "Colorful children", with which judging by the colors that a child uses most often in his/her drawings, one can define a child’s character, his/her reactions in different situations, and what is most-this method prognosticates the way the child will grow up.
So, think about it: what is the color that your kiddo uses most often in his/her drawings? And what's his/her favorite color?
The “yellow“ child
Yellow is the color of spirituality, but also of danger. Children, who draw with yellow, are free, original, they think differently. Having unlimited power is dangerous for them. Most of all, they have an aptitude for creativity. The yellow child is a dreamer, a narrator. These children like playing alone, they like abstract toys-pebbles, cubes, materials that stimulate their imagination. When they grow up, they prefer a varied and interesting work. They will always believe, hope and strive for something in the future. However, they can also have some traits, which are not that good at all- unpracticality, avoiding decisions, irresponsibility.
The “red" child
Red is the color of blood, health, life, energy, power and authority. “Red" children are open and active. Parents who have “red" children have to cope with a lot of troubles, because these are children who are full of life, wild, naughty, easily excited, restless. When they grow up, their high work capacity will contribute to their success. "Red children" are vigorous, but also selfish. The prominent politicians are mostly "yellow-red".
The “blue" child
“Blue" children are totally different from “red" children. That is why “red" children can be soothed with a blue color, and "blue" children-with red. "Blue" children are calm, balanced, they like to do things slowly and carefully. These children like to lie on the couch, reading a book and thinking. Children often choose the blue color, not because they are calm, but because they need calmness.
"Violet" child
Violet means night, mystery, mysticism, contemplation. “Violet" children have a rich inner peace. They are artistic on the one hand and very sensitive on the other. They try to make an impression. They are capable of looking at themselves objectively. They can be hurt easily, so they need support and encouragement more than the other children.
The “Blue-green" child
Blue-green is the color of water, ice, deepness, pride, prestige, vanity. This color indicates the condition of the nervous system. People who like this color are very stressed. This nervous tension stems from the person’s character or from a situation, in which the person is afraid of making a mistake, of failing to achieve something, of being criticized. It is not a coincidence that most officials and administrators are “blue-green". Parents who have “blue-green" children should give them more freedom, encourage their initiatives, they should replace punishment with encouragement, and if it is possible-reduce their requirements.
The "green" child
Usually “green" children consider themselves abandoned and they need maternal love very much. Green children need a creative education, so that they won't grow up as "green" persons (conservative, afraid of changes, associating changes with losses). “Green" children must feel secure and protected.
The "orange" child
These children are easily excited, like “red" and "yellow" children, but their excitement reaches a dead end. They are laughing, screaming for no apparent reason. That is why orange is dangerous.
The "brown" child
In the brown color, orange is being "overwhelmed" by black. This is a natural, cozy and even a pleasant color. If in small doses, the brown color helps "brown" children create their own world, secure and sheltered, a small world that contributes to their sense of security. The disadvantages of brown are: health problems, family problems, involvement in dramatic events and in some cases mental inferiority.
The “black" child
Black is the color of threat and it is not recommended for children. Children rarely prefer black, but still, if a child prefers black before all other colors, this should be seen as a sign of prematurely developed complicated psyche, and also stress, which can drastically change the child’s life.
The “grey" child
Grey is not recommended for children, either. Grey means routine, illiteracy, exclusion, poverty. “Grey" children are very quiet, fearful, closed to the world. A "grey" situation can occur when the child is separated or separates himself from the other children. If a person can't decide whether he/she likes grey, this should be considered as a sign of fatigue.
Colors that boys and girls prefer:
Blue
Blue is the color of freedom, easiness, liability for changes. Usually little boys prefer this color. Often these boys become sailors or pilots.
Pink
Pink is usually preferred by little girls. “Pink" children are usually gentle, weak, shy. They are dependent on the people around, they need constant support. If a boy prefers pink, this should be considered as a sign of strong personality.
Purple
Purple is also preferred by girls. Purple implies the following traits: tenderness, weakness, sense of loneliness and defencelessness. “Purple" children often live in their own world, but they are also very artistic.
